Finding some Awesome Stuff

Okay so I've been looking around for swamp-ish scenes and stuff. I really like ^ this image and the overall eerie-ness of the scene. And I've been finding some really neat photos of actual swamp/bayou houses - which I'm really leaning towards making a bayou instead of the swamp (even though I think those two words are almost interchangeable).

I like this image because of the run-down look of it, which is what I really enjoy doing. I also like the brightness of this, the lack of mist/fog (even though I really want to figure out elementals and stuff), and the fact that the trees are so close to the structure that it gives me the impression that one of the reasons the building is still standing is because the trees are holding it up.

And finally, this one. I LOVE THIS ONE. I love the floating yard thing, which I am totally going to try to incorporate into my bayou scene. Maybe have it broken off or something. Half way sunk. I don't really know yet, but I am feeling good about this. ^-^

Ideas and Nonsense

Okay so pretty much what I want to do in this open studio is 1) figure out the fire particles thing in Maya (I started it, but it's kind of a jerk), 2) build a thing (like with a lot of details and stuff) - maybe texturing too, but I'm really not sure on that...I'm not good at that, and 3) I DON'T KNOW.
